- ### Your real experience  Your roles, projects and skills from your profile, written in the first person. It never claims a work authorization, language or certification you haven't listed.
- ### The job you're applying to  Turn on the job description (found on the page, pasted, or fetched from a job link) and the letter is written for that role and company.
- ### The form's limits  Word limits and formats the question asks for are followed, so the letter fits the box.
- ### Your own instructions  Add a note like "under 150 words, mention my open-source work" to steer length, tone or emphasis before it writes.
- ### Your edits  Review it, edit it, then insert it into the box or copy it. Nothing is filled until you choose to use it.
- ### Your saved letter  Keep one cover letter in your profile and insert it into any form from the Profile Data panel with a click, no AI needed.

## Write a cover letter in three steps

1. Step 1  ### Fill your profile once  Add your experience, projects and skills on lazee.dev, or upload your resume PDF and let it fill the profile for you.
2. Step 2  ### Click the icon on the cover letter box  On the application, click the lazee.dev icon in the cover letter box. Turn on the job description and add any instructions.
3. Step 3  ### Generate, edit, use  Read the letter, change what you like, then insert it. The extension never submits the application for you.
