Every application form asks for the same thirty things. Name, email, phone, LinkedIn, GitHub, current company, years with React, notice period, current CTC, expected CTC, and then the essay: “Why do you want to work here?” You already uploaded a resume that answers most of it, and the form asks anyway.

This guide shows how to fill those fields once and reuse them on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workday and company career pages, using the [Lazee.dev extension](https://lazee.dev/). The basic autofill is free and unlimited; the AI parts are optional.

## Step 1: Save your details once

Sign in at [lazee.dev/profile](https://lazee.dev/profile) and fill the profile: contact details, work experience, education, projects, skills, links, CTC, notice period and job preferences (work setup, locations, visa sponsorship, target roles). The fastest way is to upload your resume PDF: the dashboard parses it and fills the sections for you, and you fix whatever it got wrong.

Two things worth adding right away, because forms ask for them constantly: a default cover letter, and a few **Saved Q&A** entries for prompts you have already answered well (“Tell me about yourself”, “Describe a hard bug you fixed”).

## Step 2: Install the extension

Add it from the [Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lazeedev-ai-job-autofill/hkompooiicoamiambpjhbbmimjefgiii) (Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers) or [Firefox Add-ons](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lazeedev/). There is no second login: once you are signed in on lazee.dev, the extension picks up the session, and any later edit to your profile reaches it without a refresh.

## Step 3: Open an application

On the supported boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Wellfound, Y Combinator’s Work at a Startup and others) the extension is on by default. When the page has a form, a small trigger appears on the detected fields. The plain fields fill from your profile deterministically: no AI involved, no credits, and the same result every time.

For anything it did not fill, the **Profile Data** tab lists every saved value. Click a value to put it in the focused input, or Shift+click to copy it.

### Workday, BambooHR and company career pages

Workday portals, BambooHR and a company’s own careers page are not on the default list, so the extension stays off there until you switch it on. Open the popup on that site, turn on the per-site toggle once, and it remembers the choice. Multi-step Workday applications then work the same way: the trigger shows up on each step’s fields.

## Step 4: The open-ended questions

“Why this company?” cannot come from a profile field. Clicking the trigger on a textarea opens **AI Fill**, which drafts an answer in the first person from your real experience and the job description it read from the page. It follows the format the form asks for (word limits, bullet points, a fixed/variable salary breakdown), and you can steer it with a one-line instruction before generating. Insert it, copy it, or save it to your Q&A library for next time.

Short screening questions (“Do you need visa sponsorship?”, “Willing to relocate?”) are answered straight from your job preferences for free, without calling an AI at all.

On Pro, **Express Fill** scans the whole page, lists every open question with a cost estimate, and fills the ones you tick in one run, attaching your chosen resume PDF in the same pass.

## Step 5: Attach the right resume

The extension attaches your resume PDF to the form’s upload field. Free accounts keep one resume; Pro accounts keep up to ten variants (frontend, backend, ML) and switch between them from the popup before applying.

## What it costs

| Action | Lazee AI | Your own key (BYOK) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Profile autofill, resume attach, JD detection, offline ATS score | Free, unlimited | Free, unlimited |
| AI Fill, one question | 2 credits (8 with the job description) | 0 credits |
| Express Fill (Pro) | 2 credits per field, plus 6 per run with the JD | 0 credits |

Free accounts get 200 credits every 30 days, Pro accounts 10,000. With [your own API key or a local model](https://lazee.dev/blog/byok-ai-job-applications), every AI action is 0 credits. Current prices are on the [pricing section](https://lazee.dev/#pricing).

## What it does not do

It does not submit applications for you, and it does not mass-apply. You read every answer, change what you want, and press the submit button yourself. The point is to remove the retyping, not your judgement about where to apply.

Looking for roles to apply to? The [job board](https://lazee.dev/careers) lists open roles straight from company career sites, and every listing links to the posting where the extension autofills.

## Spend the saved time on the interview.

Profile autofill is free and unlimited. Install the extension, fill your profile once, and the next application takes a few clicks.
