lazee.dev runs some open-source software in your browser. This page lists it, its licenses, and where to get its source code.

## The resume builder's LaTeX engine

The LaTeX tab of the [resume builder](https://lazee.dev/resume-builder) compiles LaTeX in your browser with a WebAssembly build of TeX Live 2026 (engine files version tl2026-r1), downloaded from our storage the first time you use it. It contains:

- pdfTeX 1.40.29, LuaTeX and dvipdfmx (TeX Live 2026) · the TeX engine that turns LaTeX into a PDF GPL-2.0-or-later
- kpathsea · finds TeX's files LGPL-2.1-or-later
- zlib, libpng · compression and images zlib / libpng
- FreeType · font loading FreeType License (FTL) or GPL-2.0
- HarfBuzz · text shaping MIT ("Old MIT")
- ICU · Unicode support Unicode License
- Lua · LuaTeX's scripting MIT
- expat 2.5.0 · XML parsing MIT
- fontconfig 2.13.96 · font configuration MIT-style (fontconfig)
- BusyTeX (build scripts, commit c2c008e) and Siglum v0.2.0 · build the engine as one WebAssembly file (compiled with Emscripten 3.1.43) MIT

The TeX packages and fonts that come with it are unmodified files from TeX Live 2026 (pdflatex.fmt and pdftex.map are generated from them):

- LaTeX kernel, hyperref and its helpers, geometry, xcolor, microtype, tools (tabularx, array, calc, multicol), graphics, amsmath, psnfss, fancyhdr, parskip, setspace, etoolbox, ifthen, ragged2e, booktabs, url LaTeX Project Public License (LPPL) 1.2 / 1.3 / 1.3c
- enumitem, titlesec MIT
- Latin Modern fonts (lmodern) GUST Font License
- URW fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier and Symbol clones: helvetic, times, courier, symbol) GPL
- AMS fonts SIL Open Font License
- Computer Modern (cm) Knuth License
- EC fonts, rsfs other free licenses (TeX Live)
- graphics-cfg public domain

The license texts are inside those archives (for example COPYING and the files under texk/ and libs/ in the TeX Live source), and on [gnu.org (GPL 2.0)](https://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.html) and [gnu.org (LGPL 2.1)](https://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/lgpl-2.1.html). The TeX packages' own sources are on [CTAN](https://ctan.org/). For at least three years after we last offer the engine, we will also send this source on request: write to us through the [feedback page](https://lazee.dev/feedback).

## The code editor

The LaTeX tab's editor is [CodeMirror 6](https://codemirror.net/) (MIT License), with its LaTeX highlighting from @codemirror/legacy-modes (MIT License).
