Questions
Is the lazee.dev resume builder free?
Yes. Writing, editing, all five templates, the live preview and PDF downloads are free, with no watermark. A free account saves up to 100 resumes, Pro up to 1,000. Only the AI section editor is a Pro feature.
Are the resumes ATS-friendly?
Yes. Every template is a single column of real text in standard PDF fonts, with no tables, images or text boxes, so applicant tracking systems read it top to bottom.
Do I need an account?
No. You can build and download a resume without signing in; it's kept in your browser. Sign up free to save it to your account: after you sign up, the draft you made opens in your account, ready to save, and new resumes start from your lazee.dev profile.
Do I need the browser extension?
Not to build or download your resume. The free lazee.dev extension adds the job match: paste a job description and see your ATS match, the skills you're missing, and what would change in each section before you tailor it. It runs offline on your device.
How does the AI editor work?
Each section has its own AI editor (Pro). Tell it what to change, or tap Improve, Shorten or Show impact, and it rewrites that section only, using your profile and the job as context, never adding facts you don't have. You accept or discard the result. It costs 1 credit an edit on lazee.dev AI, or nothing on your own AI key. Pro Passes don't unlock it.
Can my resume be longer than one page?
Yes, it can run to as many pages as you need. The builder warns you from the second page, since one page is recommended for most roles, and Fit to 1 page tightens the spacing, text size and margins without removing anything.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. On a phone the preview fills the screen and the editor opens in a bottom sheet you can drag up and down. Download works the same.
